Please post your bug reports in here.
With your bug report, please submit the following information:
1) OS: Your operating system, i.e. Linux, Windows, or otherwise and what version you are using.
2) 3D card: The 3D card you are using. If you do not know, this is printed on the "Renderer:" line in the console when Sauerbraten starts up.
3) The edition of Sauerbraten you are using, i.e. Assassin edition, CVS as of a particular date, or otherwise.
4) Error information: If you are on Windows, a pop-up message showing filenames and line numbers should show up when Sauerbraten crashes; if possible, post a screenshot or a copy/paste of this. If on Linux, post a log of the startup info from the console, including relevant errors or any info you might have discovered. If on MacOS X, please post the crash log if applicable.
5) A description of the problem and how to reproduce it. Please give as much detail as possible on how someone can recreate the problem, in as certain terms as you can. If someone else can't reproduce the problem, it is unlikely he can fix it or tell you what is wrong.

I downloaded the new sauerbraten and when i try to install it during the installation it gives a error "Extract: error writing to file 3.ogg" im running windows xp sp 3, nvidia 8600gt and haven't had any problems with previous versions of sauerbraten. First it gave a error of 1.ogg then I reinstalled a few times and it got over it and gave error of 2.ogg but after reinstalling over 10 times it still wont install 3.ogg. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Try a graphics card from a less crappy manufacturer. (I have an ECS motherboard that only works about 60% of the time.)
Failing that, try unstablemind's suggestions. If your graphics drivers (which should be up-to-date) came with a control program, try disabling some of the more unstable settings.

Installed newer drivers (185.85)(I had older drivers because old games I play don't work with new ones) and installed without any problems. File was not corrupted. Thanks for the help!

Sometimes the 3d environment turns into green lines. They go to the center of the screen(to a point).
Then - systemfreeze, only reboot helps... no error, no bluescreen but i have this issue only with the new nvidia driver 185.85 with my 8800gts.
3GHZ, 4GBRAM, Vista64
Someone else have this issue with the new driver?

You don't have the SDL, SDL_mixer, SDL_image, and OpenGL development headers installed.

So use older drivers.
Also sounds a bit like overheating.

I just updated to MacOS X 10.5.7 (Last One), and Sauerbraten keeps crashing whenever i try to switch to Edit mode or while navigating through the menu.
I would like to know if you are correcting this issue, if you are aware of it...
Thanks

If you can - the rest of the crash log saying where it crashed would be useful. Sadly I can't recreate this crash.

#208: Chat in Sauerbraten |
by GaG

Hi, I dont know why but in the new version of Sauer. there is no chat. I dont see what I write and I havent seen any other message up on screen from anyone. And why there is almost none playing the game while before there were plenty of players and servers.. I am kinda disapointed about that. Otherwise the improvements in game are great.

Mouse wheel up could have become unbound... Try these:
bind MOUSE4 [ universaldelta 1 ]
bind MOUSE5 [ universaldelta -1 ]
Also try deleting config.cfg and ensure your mouse wheel works in other games.

Those are, of course, console commands... Type them in the console you bring up with the ` key. (Or paste them into C:\Program Files\Sauerbraten\autoexec.cfg or equivalent.)
