Also - he's toying with "Cube" (that's Cube 1) not "Sauerbraten" (Cube 2) ... so building himself is out of the question, since modded binaries (or better : self-compiled binaries in general) won't work with regular ones!

http://cube.wikispaces.com/Map+Config+and+Scripting
and look at the cfg of the map in question.
If it's a map that comes with a release of sauerbraten - then they are all there when you do a "/newmap" ... if it's a map downloaded from somewhere (including it's own textures) then you need to load them just like that map does (see it's cfg for this).

#7774: Sauerbraten Speed |

I just downloaded Sauerbraten and it is slow and clunky. frames per second get as low as two. I have a 2.2 Ghz processor and the video card is an ATI Radeon Xpress 200. What can I do to get the game to go faster? Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

Well you can just look at that maps config file which will tell you where they are...

Erm...maybe you should get a real video card ? The one you are using there is on the mainboard chipset, it´s just an office card, not for games at all. So, what do you expect ? ;)

#7777: Suitable Engine? |
by eroyjenkins

I'm looking for an engine that can be used for a worldwide distributed learning platform that will run on any OS and is scalable to some big numbers if we have the servers installed to handle it. Will this engine do this well? I was referred to it by another forum. I'm in academia and new to mods so I don't know the technical questions to ask, and will rely on someone to get us started in the right direction. Any help out there?

Hi, what is the default port number or range of port numbers that Sauerbraten uses? It's time to reconfigure the traffic shaper ;)
Cheers!

It's time to say the truth, Lex Luthor is LavaBall/Jean Pierre, make a search on the forum of his IP and you will discover so, also Burnys and all the anonymouse users are nothing but the same person = JP
My suggestions are to ban this fuckwit.

I am finding it odd that wheen I play cube it lags so much. When I got this computer less than a year ago it was practically the best of the best. Is there a way to make the game not lag without buying a new processor?

We can´t really comment on this if you don´t tell us what hardware you have.
If you mean cube1, and you get bad performance, that might mean there´s something wrong with your operating system or hardware.
If you talk about cube2, it depends on the graphics card mainly (not on the processor).
Here´s some things you can do to make Sauerbraten (cube2) run faster:
