#3984: Weapon placement |

Hey all, I'm a big time newb. Just started the game. I read through all the docs and stuff, but I just can't figure out how to place items, weapons, health, etc. I would absolutely love to know how to do this. Again, I can't make heads or tails on the instructions or whatever, I looked everywhere. the best I know is /newent rockets and a little blue sparklie will appear, but when I leave editing mode, it doesnt appear. same with ammo, monsters, etc. Now I have noticed the four numbers after the entity, and have been curious to what those mean. I also have noticed that after I have selected an entity, I can scroll my mouse wheel and other entities appear (the names, not the actual object.)
So can anyone tell me how to make a little blue sparklie and the word "rockets" into the actual ammunition?
And if you can, please email it to me so I don't have to go searching through these forums again. e-mail is Kiete006@yahoo.com. And to anyone who wants to send me random crap to this email, go ahead. it's my secondary crap e-mail anyway.
thanks for the answers.

Save the map & reload. Pickups don't appear immediately (at least in CTF edition... I think they do in SVN).

And how exactly do I save the map? I guessed it would probably under options>autoexec.cfg but when I tried to save a file nothing happened and when I tried to exec(ute?) the file, it said unknown command aquaducts2.cfg (I also guessed to save a map file it had to end in .cfg?)

okay, I figured out how to save my maps. /savemap or /savemap "x". Problem is loading it now. I cannot find it on the load map menu, so I went into the sauerbraten>packages>base and used my map "121" opened with>sauerbraten and I had an error.

If you look to your left, you will see a little question mark icon with the word docs underneath.
Try clicking that.

How do I add \'moonlight\'?
I want the light to act like sunlight (with soft shadows) - but be a blue tint.
The blue ent set to max size isnt enough

Sorry for not using the "reply"-function - it didn't work for your posting (but the one above) ... curious ...
Anyway:
A sunlight is just a light entity with 0 radius - the colour-channels behave just the same .. I'd suggest you find some map with moonlight already in it and do an "entfind light 0 *" .. HTH :-)

Also, may I suggest changing the description of /yawsky from "specifies in degrees a constant yaw rotation to apply to the skybox" to "specifies in degrees a constant yaw offset to apply to the skybox"? The way it is now, it sounds like /yawsky is like /spinsky.

HOLY CRAP
BLENDING TEXTURES GIVE ME HEADACHES

But I managed to do it.
But now the texture list's so dirty that there are a few duplicates.
