Please post your bug reports in here.
With your bug report, please submit the following information:
1) OS: Your operating system, i.e. Linux, Windows, or otherwise and what version you are using.
2) 3D card: The 3D card you are using. If you do not know, this is printed on the "Renderer:" line in the console when Sauerbraten starts up.
3) The edition of Sauerbraten you are using, i.e. Assassin edition, CVS as of a particular date, or otherwise.
4) Error information: If you are on Windows, a pop-up message showing filenames and line numbers should show up when Sauerbraten crashes; if possible, post a screenshot or a copy/paste of this. If on Linux, post a log of the startup info from the console, including relevant errors or any info you might have discovered. If on MacOS X, please post the crash log if applicable.
5) A description of the problem and how to reproduce it. Please give as much detail as possible on how someone can recreate the problem, in as certain terms as you can. If someone else can't reproduce the problem, it is unlikely he can fix it or tell you what is wrong.

What type of internet connection do you have. I had a similar problem. I'm on DSL. I had to also go into the modem setup and configure the ports, not just the router and firewall. Good Luck.

Should be an ip adress you type into the url bar on your browser. The way I do it is I "reset" the modem, there should be a little button on it somewhere. Then the next time you open your browser it should ask you for username and password, and go through steps to select pppoe and stuff. You should be able to get into other options, like settings and troubleshooting from there.

#692: Could not load texture .jpg |
by Kal
on 03/29/2011 04:06
|
|
Debian Lenny 2.6.26
nVidia NV44 GeForce 6200 Turbocache (TM)
Justice Edition
The game plays just fine however none of the textures are not loading. The command line output spews this during the game:
could not load texture packages/icons/menu.jpg
could not load texture packages/icons/exit.jpg
It throws an error for every texture it trys to load but the game loads and plays regardless.

Sounds like whatever package you downloaded is missing some files? If you just want to download the individual files and stuff them in your "packages/" directory, you can get those particular ones here:
http://sauerbraten.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/sauerbraten/packages/icons/

Then it seems like you are missing libjpeg62.

There are a few libjpeg in /usr/lib:
-libjpeg.so
-libjpeg.so.62
-libjpeg.so.62.0.0
The first two are symlinks and the third is a library. There are a number of libjpeg in a few other folders

i had the same error when I was fucking around with the envmap option on textures.
Why the engine crashes when you assign only 1 texture as envmap, on another texture (like "texture e "packages/textures/waterfall.jpg" 0 0 0 0")

#700: Macbook Pro 2011 Graphics Problem |
by //prime.cut
on 04/10/2011 19:22
|
|
1) OSX 10.6.7
2) Intel HD Graphics 3000
3) Justice Edition
4) Here is a clip of some gameplay:
http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=1ze87sj&s=7
5) This clip is with everything on default settings, with Shaders turned off. With shaders turned on the "screen tearing" gets worse, but with the shaders turned on high there is no "screen tearing" but many objects on the map aren't even visible, making it impossible to play

Try using the following in console:

It might help.

#703: pop command |
by .sCaSd.
on 04/12/2011 15:11
|
|
Pop command is removed from svn. Lets do obsequies.
How can I implement namespeces now ? I used looplist to push/pop lots of values:
alias push_list [looplist v $arg1 [push $v]]
alias pop_list [looplist v $arg1 [pop $v]]
alias iter_push [if (listlen $arg1) [push (at $arg1 0) [iter_push (listdel $arg1 (at $arg1 0)) [@@arg2]] ] $arg2]
push iteration as replacement is slow or does someone have a faster solution ?
I have also a big bug-list stored at hd but I dont want to offend someone so I am afraid of posting it here ;)

As far as i know, pop was merged in with push, but i don't know the details since i've never had a good reason to use these kind of commands.
You can ask eihrul or srbs regarding the new mechanics, and regarding the bug list, i think it would be good to have a sum of problems pending a fix. Helps us little scripters not to run in the same shit and bitch about it =P
