Further to that, it seems to be happening with Monster 4, bauul, as soon as the monster entity is changed to bauul and exiting edit mode the exception error is thrown :

I need to tell you that sauerbraten assassin edition still lags altough I just did defragmentation, I have a Geforce 8600GT And 1GB RAM, It's like it loads stuff inside the game and when I first load the level pictures it lags, It doesn't save the cache's
Another thing it lags on is when I play a sp or dmsp game, It has to load every single animation in-game and it lags there and also the monsters still fire from their shoulders and not from their center, I did redownload the game but still no fixes have been made, All this didn't happen in the summer edition, Well it did lag but it was rare, I think this edition has bugs and has been released as a prototype.

You're useless. Realise that you're not qualified enough to complain like that.

#66: who's truly to blame |

realise it's not the developers fault for the instability. the project is more of a hobby, than work to them. Also the majority of them use linux, so take a look through all the bug reports, most if not all of them occurred on windows machines.
it's not the devs fault once again, the fault is truly on YOUR shoulders. The lack of windows users who do daily CVS checkouts, and compile their own binaries to check for such errors in the development versions is to blame. Without people to debug sauer on a range of operating systems will mean one will be left with few bugs, and another may be swamped and unstable with them. As we've obviously seen here.
And contrary to some of these posts, I've found the release to be much stabler and faster than the summer release. All the reported bugs have yet to occur while I was playing, and editing in the CVS versions
So the next time when you post something similar to what post #70 says, think about what you say. The devs do it for fun (and to get swamped with bug reports), not to get complained to like that.
~Hirato Kirata
PS, if any of the above I said is false, feel free to correct me in a none offensive way

Then HELP??? You're useless at helping to solve that problem!!!
How can you expect a solution without helping at all?
Not a bug report, that was, really: "It's lagging. You're just playing about"
#73: I like your philosophy about Windows users, by the way :)

So you're saying this project is just being done for gameplay and not for professionality?(Or however it's spelled)
OK then but atleast solve the bug of the monster projectiles, I am useless in coding I agree since I can't program for heck, If I had coding skills I could have solved it myself tough(And probably post a patch)

Well it's not a crash more of a lag but I think it's something of my computer as I chatted with some others on some servers and are saying that it doesn't lag for some of them, There were some guy's who said it did lag a little, I don't know if it's the same lag as mine or because their computers are slow, I didn't experience any crash yet.

hmm, the first wav file is not bad, though it sounds like wood and chains, and you also can hear the impact of the arrow, which is bad.
Instead of this, you should hear some sounds of metal and pneumatic (especially when reloading), due to the tech style of sauer's new crossbow.
The second .wav file is bad, it is way too overdriven.
Basically, a nice idea though. But a weapon sound also should fit 100% to the weapon animations, which is not the case with these sounds.

THANKS for Intel slowdown bug fixing.
It's ok now, just the new map Venice is not playable for me.
I saw that the options in config file changed ; what are the new settings for max. performance on poor hardware ? (maxtexsize, texcompress ?...)
thx again !

The second wav file seems to suit that plasmabow OK. I've changed mine out and just played a round of fanatic quake using it.

Here is a Mac binary.
I have no clue whether it is universal, and I have no idea if it will even work, I just compiled it, it worked for me blah.
No launcher included because I'm mean. (and it never worked)
If an official mac binary comes out USE IT not this one.
If someone else makes one, USE IT, it is probably better.
