I'm using Sauerbraten. I know what most everything does (kinda, I'm still noobish), and I must say that I'm very impressed by the game/engine.

However... My mousewheel is broken... I know that I can bind the universaldelta stuff to any key I want, but I want it to go to my mouse's two side buttons (commonly called "mouse4" and "mouse5" by other games)... I've tried binding mouse6 and mouse7, but that doesn't seem to work... What can I do?

Thael, you can´t bind the sides buttons directly.
What you can do is bind the side buttons to keypresses in your mouse settings, and then bind those keys in cube/sauer.

Actually, that's not quite correct. My mouse has these side buttons as well, and I was able to bind them by adding these lines to keymap.cfg:
keymap -6 MOUSE6
keymap -7 MOUSE7
I would sugest that this be added to the distributed version, since such mice are not uncommon.

I got this strange problem in Sauer. I start the game, the default level appears, and when I try loading another level the game crashes! I think it may be happening because i'm using my Nvidia GeForce 2 card (although it worked on the previous Sauerbraten version).

Hi guys, I made this map called Golf Paradise, it's very good for grenade practice, plus I added many cool extras like the rules, the first Sauerbraten machine (It's HUGE and has 3 game types!), a race, a training zone and even a free running zone!

By the way Aardappel, could you place this map in the next Sauerbraten release? People are going to like it because it's very fun!

#5639: Problems with a radeon 9200se and suse 10.0

Recently I installed cube and seemd to be very cool, plus the screenshots were quite nice.... but.

when I started playing it in the first screen I got this:

this renders the game unplayable.... does anyone know how to fix this?

as I said... radeon 9200se with the latest xorg drivers, suse linux 10.0

I can push/pull cubes normally before I use the rotation feature. The rotation feature works fine. But after I rotate, I cannot push or pull cubes. The scroll wheel is stuck in rotate mode...

I've seen this happening too, but not for some time now.
Does this problem occur for you EVERY time?! I only had it once or twice - not sure which version of sauerbraten either.

Have you maybe tried to
/exec data/defaults.cfg
This should reset all bindings/aliases ...

try to re-toggle the "delta"-state by
either...
---re-rotating and taking care to let go of the key without other actions happening @ the same time.
...or...
switching to another delta-mode (Q+M-Wheel or somesuch) to force the engine to re-evaluate !?!

heh, i just use the console commands to rotate and all works well ;-)

since finding these rotation, copy, flip and mirror features mapping has been so much easier!!!

Word of advice to anyone who got into sauerbraten a while ago:
re-read the docs, there are so many new features and commands I didn't know about! the old docs are not very descriptive
