Not really. 5 is hidehud, which hides pretty much everything EXCEPT the hudgun, and also the 5-key only works in editmode.

The command you're searching for, fispaul, is /hudgun 1 to show the hudgun, or /hudgun 0 to hide it.

I'm running OS X and I have two questions about running a server. The first question is where exactly do I put the server-init.cfg file? It says the root directory of the game, but does that mean in the Sauerbraten package or in app support?

Second question: how do I configure it so you need a password to gain master? I want it so in order for anyone to gain master period they need to send a password with the command.

1. I would use the app support folder for better file-keeping etiquette, though it should work either way.

2. See these docs for server-configuration:

Also, note you can click the 'server' tab in the OSX launcher and specify a password there.

Hmm, i was wondering the past few days: What happened to insta protect? it was extremely popular when it was first added and lots of people, like me, had lots of fun with it, slightly more that insta ctf, but now nobody seems to play it anymore. What happened?

Why are you asking us? Just go set up and InstaProtect server yourself. If you won't or can't, just go to an open server with no players and type:

/setmaster 1; mastermode 1; instaprotect

You'll become the master, make the server veto (your vote overrides others'), and launch instaprotect on your current map. That simple.

I probably made myself sound like it was a complaint, but I wasn't complaining, i was just wondering what happened, not just me but many people enjoyed it and it vanished.

but you are right, why am I asking, it's not really a very "answerable" question.
