I'm suprised no-one has made this topic yet, its good for forums to have off-topic subjects to loosen the mood.

Well anyway post anything about the FIFA World Cup here.

I thought Brazil were average against Ghana. And no offense to them but all they have is nice ball skills and a good shot. They struggled against Australia, and had problems with Croatia. I think they will be beaten by France in the next round. If France does not knock them out then Argentina will.

So you´re sure argentinia will beat germany? :P We´ll have to see that.

Brasil don´t play how they used to play, meaning less spectacular, but that doesn´t make em any less dangerous.
They were quite lucky though vs. ghana, and ghana was doing really good against them.

Good to see france is still in, and that goal of Zidane was great.

No, I meant who will knock out Brazil ;P

I am now forced to root for Germany, Italy's team is rubbish and they play cheap tactics, and England is hopeless and cocky. Argentina are looking good, Brazil are hyped up. France are ok but conceded an easy goal to Spain. I think the final will be Germany - Argentina.

Yeah, I am definently not up to date, I haven't watched a game since Australia lost to Italy, it sorta killed the World Cup for me.

Well, I generally have a large intrest in soccer, except in Australia, there isn't really much soccer to watch. Normally I am really into the World Cup, but this year was different as Australia made it. It made me REALLY REALLY into the World Cup. But then when Australia was defeated I no longer was intrested.

But still, I don't think Brazil stand a chance against France.

Argentina lost. For those that do not know, I'm from Argentina. And what happened today was totally expected by myself, it was obvious the referi would do the impossible to make Argentina loose. But anyways, I don't really care about soccer, or the world cup. :P
But Argentina played better and they know it.

I have to say, I couldn´t really see the referee make any big mistakes, apart from stopping the game too much, whenever there was someone falling down.
They are a bit too fast with the whistle this time in most games.
If you talk about the goalkeeper getting hurt, that wasn´t really on purpose, just bad luck.(you can´t deny the argentinian players were not playing rough too).

For the game, Agentina did extremely well in the first half, very effectively destroying the german tactic, I didn´t understand why they changed their tactics in the second half, giving germany a lot more space to play.
That led to the 1:1. In the aftertime, it was somewhat the opposite, first half argentinia just defended, 2nd half they controlled the game again.

Apart from bad luck for argentina, and a great german goalkeeper, both teams would have deserved the win. But there can only be one.

Brazil - France tonight :)
I'm rooting for France (Brazil beat Australia you see -.-) and I actually think Brazil are the disadvantaged side, France is a much more balanced team, Brazil have horrible defense.

And I believe its Germany vs Italy next round, yay :)
I just want the Germans to get Totti -.-
