OK, now I have found a way to cheat in network (and online) games. I won't post it unless Aard wants me to. But i think it would relatively easy to fix in the next release. Anyway, Aard, if you don't want me to post this so people don't start cheating, tell me.

the quad version doesn't fix the hypersensitive mouse problem, and yes i've tried adding stuff to the autoexec_quad file.
i wish i knew enough coding to go into quad or ctf or whatever and reset the defaults but i simply don't. sad. if someone would do that it'd be cool, but i doubt it.
just out of curiosity, why hasn't aard incorporated ctf into cube? is it just more work that he doesn't want to do or something a little more complex?

Something is weird with your system because I never changed the sensitivity settings. Changing sensitivity in autoexec_quad.cfg should make a difference.

nope, i tried that (editing cfg). it didn't respond at all.
i don't see how it could be with my system- cube runs fine, but thalion's ctf and quad are just too sensitive. my system is quite stable... i have 1024MB DDR 333 RAM, Geforce 2600+ w/ 128 MB, athlon 2.04 processor, audacity LS sound card, and so on. I defragged and scanned my harddrive, that's not it... all that's left is some sort of software bug that only pops up on my comp.
damnation

could it be that you are using sensitivityscale?
afaik, since quad and ctf are based on older versions of Cube there is no such command in them, innit, pushplay?

That's right, but changing sensitivity in the quad cfg file would still make a difference. tentus: try chaning it by a huge amount and see what happens.

(i'm tentus at a different place, just realized i hadn't mentioned that. sorry)
i'm not sure we're saying the same thing here. i can use the ~sensitivity # command, and it works fine, but i have to do it every time i load quad- which is often, because i use its ever so handy ~rotate and ~mirror commands (godsends, those) for level design, but it doesn't have the scroll wheel function i also use regulary. so what i'm looking for is a way of editing the cfg or SOMETHING which will
1) apply, and
2) stay applied.
just out of curiosity, is there a way of triggering demos? that'd be a nifty way of making sp maps more satisfying and more fleshed out storywise. also be useful for giving directions.

no.. maybe quad recognizes different coding than i'm using? i'm copy-pasting stuff from the cube autoexec to the quad autoexec. if quad is based on an older release, maybe i need to find an alternate set of commands.

An example autoexec_quad.cfg should have come in the zip file.

it did. i dunno, sorry to bother you guys with this problem.
i've been messing arround with cfg stuff more and more, so maybe in a few days i'll find what i'm doing wrong.
is there a list somewhere of all the generic cfg commands? a tutorial perhaps?
