while the /mapname thing is the same, even on the start map; the twice/more times bug, that also corrupts voting, seems to be limited to servers, where coop is played.

Had the invinsibility bug happen to me too. Mode: instagib. Players: 6-8. Happened to me mid-game (maybe on respawn). Kept playing to see if it would wear off. I played normally still, and it wore off around 20 bullets left. Then suddenly I could get killed again. Really wierd bug, and I have no idea what is causing it.

Unfortunately didn't played a lot MP with the new version, but i already got this bug with the 2002_10_20 version.
It was insta, 5 players, no lags for me, didn't noticed a lag on another player, and pings were ~130 - 300
I suppose it appeared in the middle of a round, as i ended as winner by far on this round, and noticed it on the next round.

dont read "mapname" as a placeholder; its not the name of a map, but the name of a command, and I dont know what it should do, but it comes up with tab completion in the console, when "ma<tab>" is typed. (like "m<tab>" expands to "/music") its not a bug either, just an undocumented and unfunctional command.

I confirm this one, can be seen on godzilla but also others.

Also this seems to affect the players count of the server, as the server appears to have 5-6 players and when i connect we're 2-3 players, even if none of the already connected players is doubled (or maybe they/one were but it's always the last connected player that is?), but it seems that even with counting my double the # of ppl displayed in the fragcount menu isn't equal to the # in the serverbrowser, i'll test that by querying the serverbrowser with another machine while connected.

Most of the times i can't frag other ppl (but not always), sometime they can't frag me, the most common case is i can't kill nor get killed, but whatever happens i can always suicide.

Once this happens (losing ability to kill/get killed), it stays until disconnect/reconnect (didn't had time to wait for the intermission)

Also shooting at my twin makes blood + pain sound, but doesn't affect my health, -i suppose- unless the shot is powerful enough to kill him(and me BTW) -as even if the explosion was very close to me, i was 100 health when i fired the rocket-

I'll try additionnal tests tonight on godzilla

Tested 5-6 rounds, it was ok. Then connected 15 minutes later, it was ok for one round, then i saw:

(incompatible client: player disconnected)

then my double appeared. Quitting Cube then launching back, the problem was still here. 20 min later it was ok.

Just recently i was in a one-on-one match, when an "Unnamed" joined. This was fine, except that the unmnamed was invincible. He had about a 90 ping.
He said that he did'nt know why he was invincible.
Soon another unnamed joined, but he wasn't invincible.

any time i die (online in mp) the game crashes out. i dont know the specific info from the illegal-operation-dialogue as the cube game is frozen over the top!

Must not be too bad of onboard video if you can run it at all. Not very informative.

Upgrade drivers. Make sure you have 16, pref. 32 or 64, MB allocated to video, presuming it's the shared RAM type and that leaves some for the rest of the system.

i think it is the onboard (via s3 prosavage ddr). such things as (half life) steam blindy refuse to run. even with a clean install and drivers dated january 4th this year! someone post me a £300 ebuyer voucher :-)

i think i could of found your problem.
i was on a
server that was working fine i typed in ~ /getmap in co-op edit but i got the last map that was played on the servernot the new one.
then the time left went to -157 and the usual other bugs.

#83: Official gcc-2.x compiled Linux client?

Is there an official gcc-2.x compiled Linux client available, linking against libstdc++.so.4? Compiling from source works fine, but I can't play online with a self-compiled client, of course. And I don't feel like upgrading from Slackware 8.1 to 9.1 just yet ...
