No, it's hardcoded in the C++ source. Most people who come here about modifying the source code only do so to cheat online. Since we've already helped you do what you wanted (change speed), I suggest going to a compiling tutorial or something.

If your objective is to create a speed hack it's very simple. comment out one line of code in main(). You'll get caught using it in less than a minute and get banned from the server.

I also don't think people mess with the source to cheat. There are several of us who do it to improve the game. Keep your eyes on the forums as I'll be posting a demo for a new feature pretty soon.

"There are several of us who do it to improve the game."

Those people don't usually come here asking where to find the health value because they have at least a small amount of C++ experience, and I doubt you can get very far improving the game without knowing C++ unless you're doing a graphical mod. The people who don't know any programming yet come here asking how to change speed and things like that are who I'm talking about. Those players are the ones most likely just trying to find out how to cheat.

Since he seems like a veritable c++ infant, I'd recommend him going with ents.h and finding what he needs to modify in the declaration of physent.

We could probably help you fix your current one if you would tell us the error message you get.

If you looked at his comment a little more closely, he is trying to compile ents.h :D

I'm pretty sure dev c++ can import msvc++ projects, so try that, HaXBoX.

Wait...what? You mean individually? As in just the one header file?

It looks like it, 'cuz there aren't any Dev-C++ projects in the Sauer distribution. But if he is actaully trying to compile the whole thing, then yes, he should tell us the errors.
