That's because you are in a vehicle. Now shut up and drive.

Probably src/engine/physics.cpp.

Quick note:

To prevent cheating, the network source code has been closed off, so you won't be able to connect to the masterserver if you recompile. Other wise can't you just use /gamespeed?

that's for cube only, not sauerbraten.

fyi, the network source isn't closed off, cube's source was just given an incompatible protocol too that of the release binaries

and Sheeetin's right, the answers are in physics.cpp

No, the player speed, in cubes-per-second, is in ents.h.

that's where it's defined, not set or modified.

what you want to do is modify the modifyvelocity() function in physics.cpp, to use an extern multiplier, (eg, /movespeed) to multiply the player's maxspeed, sort of like /floatspeed

So I was right? Heh. That was a total guess. :)

Of course it's set there. What do you think maxspeed(100) does in the physent constructor?

Yes. If (when) you get compiler errors, be sure to use the search feature of the forum before asking for help.

You all talk about:
player1->maxspeed=(float)newmaxspeed;
in fps.cpp?
