Try /gamespeed 20 and firing the pistol... It really shows the difference between when the shot is fired and the action.

The weapon sounds from the spring edition had to be removed again, due to copyright issues. So we had to use the old sounds again, just as placeholders until someone comes up with suitable "new" sounds.
MovingTarget already had some great sounds in that sound pack he mentioned in post #183, imo we could use some of them. What do you think about these sounds ? Just write a comment on his node ;)
I know how hard it is to find high quality, well suiting AND royalty-free sounds, i already downloaded hundreds of sounds from a lot of different websites and gave up at some point, because i just ran both out of sources and patience, but maybe another one has more luck with that ? (or just better sources) ;)

MovingTargets sounds are good, used a combination of his and the defaults
I used the crossbow, handgun, and saw sounds from his pack, (these sounds could be louder by default btw, i have the volume on the crossbow maxed and i don't think its quite loud enough), and then the default for the rest (the default rocket launcher sound is awesome i think)

About that weapon sound pack... I don't really like it. IMO, I don't think it fits Sauerbraten. Perhaps that saw sound fits, but the rest does not.
Btw, anyone have their opinion on my mod's sounds?

I have massive problems with the Assassin Edition.
setup:
Pentium D 940
Geforce 7300 GS
WinXP home
Forceware 169.21
Summer Edition runs fine!
Problem:
sauer start without error massages,
I cant move , wired fps 850 or so,
i push ESC no gui,
the music loops after a while.
Tried to run sauer with:
-32bit color depth
-vsync no
-shaders no
...and i see this:

can't seem to access that image, sorry, but your title suggests weird graphics in one form or another.
Has this problem been there from the start or did it "suddenly appear"?
Have you recently changed video-drivers?
Have you tried moving both "config.cfg" and "init.cfg" (in the games base installation folder - [BTW: ~/.sauerbraten for *nixers]) out of the way (backups can be useful, but deleting works fine too) - if not try it!

I don't believe that the barrels, etc. are used in any maps yet (though I might've seen the elevators or platforms in one...).
Currently, they only appear in SP, though. Feel free to make an SP map and submit it to Quadropolis. :)

Have a look at box_demo.ogz - has an example of barrels and boxes. Run in sp mode.

I ajust my driver(default values), the
wired colors are gone, but...
-Sauer freeze when vsync is on
-I cant run sauer with shaders,
stuttering graphics, music ,sound etc.
if the shaders are off sauer runs perfect!
i have ubdated my graphic drivers, but the
same problem :(

If other games have th same issue then odds are there is something wrong with your hardware make Sure you uninstall the drivers then Reboot and Reinstall them never Reinstall over the top of drivers when your haveing a issue also do a viruse scan ect ect

I have no broblems with other games, it's
only Assassin Edition, like i sayed before
Summer Edition runs just fine.
It had something to do with the shaders
in "Assassin", when i switch the shaders
off(in sauer),it run's but without shaders.
I know how to install drivers, that's not
the problem, current Forceware is version 169.21

Hey, that looks even cooler than sauer does when I try running it on my older comp without a gpu! I don't recognize all the little images, but what it does on mine is take system resource images and use them as textures (I'm on OSX, so here and there I'll see the blue apple from the menu bar ;) Then it runs it at ~.05 fps.

Just throwing stuff out there, but check your GL extension limiting, make sure it's off. (3d application settings, I believe it's under)
