#8528: ..

by makkE on 07/23/2007 12:02

Jake, use the mapĀ“s .cfg for it.
Just make one for your map.

Just make a textfile, rename it to mymapname.cfg, and add

loadsky socksky/mars

or whatever sky you want.
Save it, load your map and voila.

#8529: Re: multiplayer lag problems great internet connection+video

by Passa on 07/23/2007 14:08, refers to #8520

Your 7300 can handle Sauerbraten easily. The issue is it is defaulting to the best shader settings. Firstly, launch it in 1024x768 instead, and run it with -f0 as well.

Once you've done this, you should get 200FPS flat (assuming you've got maxfps set to 200 as per default) or maxed out at your refresh rate (if you have Vsync on). Try pushing it up to 1280x1024 with -f0 still, see if it can handle it. Remember to disable grass in the options too.

I have no idea about internet lag though..

WARNING: Using NVIDIA texgen bug workaround. (use "/nvidia_texgen_bug 0" to disable i unnecesary) *I was traying this but the problems persist.*
WARNING: No occlusion query suport! (large maps may be SLOW)
WARNING:No ramebufer object support. (reflective water maybe slow)

by Max of S2D [Fr] on 07/23/2007 18:02

I found a way to make Microsoft Sam (the windows' synth voice) say "Aardappel, Eihrul"

If you want to try :

Control Panel -> Voices (the rest is obvious)

and use this

HARD APPLE ... ... ... HE RULE

that was the entertainment of the day.

Lower the screen res. Try -w800 -h600 or if still necessary, -w640 -h480 on the command-line. Or if really necessary, -w320 -h240 -a4 (really low res with anti-aliasing).

#8542: four-coordinate system confusing!

by demosthenes on 07/23/2007 23:47

I've gotten myself all confused on which axis is which. :(

Given d=z,
The z-axis is in-game up/down, the x axis passes through 0 and 180 degrees and the y axis passes through 90 and 270, right?

'cause if that's right, then I'm right, which would be nice.

by Valdor on 07/24/2007 01:03

Is their a simple way to add bullet holes to Sauerbraten so that it works the way cubes bullet holes work instead of the particle splash?
