#9796: Re: undo a bind

by yetanotherdemosthenescomputer on 12/31/2007 23:27, refers to #9795

Uh, you could just re-bind it?

/bind a left

That line should do it.

#9798: Re: Many maps not working under Gutsy Gibbon 7.10

by mneisen on 01/01/2008 13:46, refers to #9794

Well, these are the drivers supplied by Gutsy Gibbon, and with all due respect: I cannot see the point in ruining my system by installing drivers not tailored for my distro.

Nevertheless, SB is a great game and I certainly will continue to play it - even if this means I have to reboot quite a lot ... :-D

Thanks for the information all the same!

Happy New Year!

Can you not load your maps, or can not load with monsters? If it is the latter, then rock.n.rol_ has provided the solution.

IF that still isn't doing the trick: were you able to load your maps before? Did you install the Assassin Edition since working on your maps?

If you did install Assassin AND you did not make back-ups of your maps then they are worse than fu-bar, they are gone. I lost a number od ambient sounds this way - I backed up everything else, but forgot the downloaded ambient sounds... :( Took me half a day to find them again.

#9804: Is there a way to change the music on Mac OSX?

by Superior on 01/02/2008 00:33

My friend added different music to the game on the Windows version. I couldn't figure out how to change the music on the Mac OSX version. I know that you need to use .ogg files, I just can figure out where to put the files.

Make a folder in packages/, name it whatever you want, then in sauer do /music "packages/yourfolder/yoursong.ogg". Note that this will loop through the same song endlessly until you change the map.

Yeah, you're probably using the ati/radeon driver... You want the proprietary fglrx driver.

I wrote a nice little installer, which you can get here: http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?topic=3082777.0
When that's done, run "sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" and choose the fglrx driver.

Or, there's Envy (http://www.albertomilone.com/nvidia_scripts1.html)... more complicated, but it seems to work for everyone. (I've never used it.)

Double click on server.bat, for a start. Look in the docs for more details on command line parameters.
