That looks like an Apple independent resolution issue. Leopard is supposed to be 100% resolution independent and each window can have it's own resolution. That's supposed to be a good thing... looks like you guys are skirting Apples preferred method for displaying or Apple is not supporting backwards compatibility on this.

Not really related to resolution independence (dear god, don't enable that!) But as an apple developer - yes, backward compatibilty is causing me some grief at the moment...

Ok, I guess I do have a lot of learning to do...
The more servers I go on the more I'm seeing cheating. Maybe some would call it skill and finesse, but if you can't do it in real life, it's cheating.
So can someone clue me into exactly what is going on. I'm seeing opponents jump into salute mode (I'm guessing this is what happens when paused???) when I shoot them, then either disappear or jump through a wall only to come up behind me and kill me.
Are all the servers full of pussies that can't do battle one on one, without putting on a dress and cheat their way to their delusionary victories. Come on girls... play nice.
The world is full of douches - Don't add to the number. And I don't appreciate getting kicked when I start doing well. Please put up some server for those who just want to play!
And I want to apologize to all my teammates I shot/fragged - I've got a new mouse and I just can't seem to get use to it, I've had my old one for far to long...

Those players going into edit mode (that's what it's called) are doing that because you're not playing on a coopedit server, for making maps.
You're probably getting kicked because you're annoying the people busy mapping.
Try joining servers in mode ffa/default. It's the standard free-for-all deathmatch. Once you get everything figured out, move on to the other modes (but not before).

A follow-up to 10.5: I still get a laaarge server menu, but in 2D mode this scaled to fit the height of the display. Not anymore with 10.5, in 2D mode it goes through the roof of the screen.
I hope that helps.
And thanks for looking into that!

Short term solutions - either boot into osx 10.4, or totally disable shaders and occlusion culling....

Thanks for the reply.
First I want to apologize for my rant... I'm probably preaching to the choir, the ones I meant it for, I'm sure can't read.
Yes, I'm fairly new to this, but I don't think what you describe is correct. We all were in a match, I think some have figured out how to zap into 'Edit Mode', wait for you to empty your clip then zap back in the game and shoot or just move to a different area. I've seen this on several servers and this doesn't jive with what I saw and what you say.
Secondly, I got kicked twice because, I tied the leader in flag captures (by pure luck!) and both times I got kicked - thats bull!
I've stayed away from multiplayer games because it is full of cheaters, a-holes, and just plain people I don't want to play with. These are just cyber bullies waiting to screw with the next victim. Is their anyone just interested in playing a good game? Clans are part of this too... they don't help the game they ruin it by trying to prove their cooperative dominance. I realize it hard to understand I'm calling for decency in a game that you kill the other guy, but where is the honor? So what do I do, join a clan and become part of the problem, just to play or do I walk away? Do I learn to cheat as good as the next guy? This game is just a virtual paintball game. If you can't do it in a paintball arena in real life, you shouldn't be able to do it in Assault Cube. I'm not interested in becoming a bigger dick that the next guy, I want to play and test my skills against others that want to play and have fun without resorting to all the things that they 'are able to do', but shouldn't.
So I've probably now got the reputation of being a winnie bitch... So be it. I'm only pointing out what is wrong, so kill the messenger!

Thanks, but 10.4 is gone. =)
No problem, I can almost ignore the Icons floating in the middle of the screen. I can wait for an update. ;-)

You are misinterpreting. This is the wrong place to voice these concerns. The AssaultCube forum is where you need to discuss this.

When I try to set sound frequency on 44100, it says: restart with -r. I\'m starting sauerbraten -r but sound is 22050 again. If I change it to 44100 again, It says to restart, but no change.
Resolution is allways 1024x768 at start, no matter I changing it to 1280x1024.

The -r thing doesn't seem to work.
For the resolution, change sauer's shortcut/batch file to have -h1280 -w1024 after it, and I'm not sure about the sound.
