Best place to look is in other map cfgs. The editref html page that comes with sauer is a great place to look (I highly recommend reading it all the way through and playing around until you can say you understand 50% or more of it).

Thanks for the help MeatROme, that fixed it. Bindvar isn't in the readme - what docs are you talking about?

docs/static_wiki/configuration.html
Of course - the non-static wiki is always a good place to check too ;)

Ahemm ... you've been around a while now ... but haven't come to grips with the double-post issue ... nor have you seen the sense in using quadropolis. *sigh*

OK, I can tell from your screenies that texturing still is kinda lost to you.
Textures need to be varied depending on the surface, but follow a uniform pattern- for example, walls should usually be the same texture, augmented with a complementary border or trim.
http://sauerbraten.sourceforge.net/new/screenshot_1247508.jpg
See how there are separate but similar textures defining the edges, and a different floor texture.
A good rule of thumb for you is- if I throw a screenshot at a random passerby, will they be able to tell what they're looking at, or will you have to explain which is the walls, ceiling, etc?
...
Did our math problems get idiot-proofed? isn't that defeating the purpose? sigh...

The captcha got changed due to linkspam.
There's an ongoing discussion in the topic about the spring release (because that's where the spam is appearing).

Hey, it's that loser again :)
Just banning 85.195.123.29 would do the job partially, at least :-)

#9225: Engine Usage |

Okay stupid question, but I was wondering about using the engine for a entirely different (new) game. I know I can but I want to know which of the source files are considered Engine Files and not game files. Is it just the stuff in the Engine Folder, or is there more files than that?
Again, I'm talking Engine, not game files here.

The src/ directory, and the .cfg files in data/ are what would be considered the engine.

Just replace *everything*. You don't have to replace it all right away, but you will definitely have to eventually.
