Please post your bug reports in here.
With your bug report, please submit the following information:
1) OS: Your operating system, i.e. Linux, Windows, or otherwise and what version you are using.
2) 3D card: The 3D card you are using. If you do not know, this is printed on the "Renderer:" line in the console when Sauerbraten starts up.
3) The edition of Sauerbraten you are using, i.e. Assassin edition, CVS as of a particular date, or otherwise.
4) Error information: If you are on Windows, a pop-up message showing filenames and line numbers should show up when Sauerbraten crashes; if possible, post a screenshot or a copy/paste of this. If on Linux, post a log of the startup info from the console, including relevant errors or any info you might have discovered. If on MacOS X, please post the crash log if applicable.
5) A description of the problem and how to reproduce it. Please give as much detail as possible on how someone can recreate the problem, in as certain terms as you can. If someone else can't reproduce the problem, it is unlikely he can fix it or tell you what is wrong.

The only thing you can really do in this case is report this to the maintainer's of the Intel drivers on Linux. We have no control over those errors, unfortunately.

well - with some _real_ OpenGL drivers, not "mesa" .. it might even work.

It would be better, mesa's implementation of OpenGL is often (still) lacking.
A quick search only brought me this wiki-page from gentoo, but it seems to encourage the idea your gfx-card _can_ really run OpenGL acceleration - instead of your CPU handling it - which is what I guess mesa has fallen back on and why you have these issues.
http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Intel_GMA
Try to get "glxgears" and/or "glxgears -info" to give you some nice fps and a lot of "GL_EXTENSIONS" listed (with the "-info" arg). Then Sauerbraten shouldn't act up as much .. but also read http://cube.wikispaces.com/Performance+Guide .. since your on something "mobile" - it won't ever be able to compete with a gfx-card someone slotted into their desktop-box!
Laptops usually just aren't the best gaming platforms.

#335: abusing admin right |
by flowerPOWER

Just playing NoobLounge "urban_c" (host: 85.25.67.190 I was kicked 2 times without reasons by a german gamer logged in as "RemoteAdmin Hankus".
History:
23.July 2009, 22:45h
After a while playing and beeing mostly better than the other gamers a german guy called "braten" of the other team began with personal attacs. He told me that i am a noob and in general a loser. I responded like "lol", "hahaha", etc. He did not stop and became more and more agessive. So I asked "please kick braten". Unbeleavable that then I had been kicked and not him.
I could log in after a while with my former nickname "flowerPOWER", perhaps better knows by other gamers. And I was really surprised when RemoteAdmin Hankus offered me after minutes of playing the admin job temporally. He told me that he needed a short break. I said no and respopnded that i do not want his unserious job, explaining his bad behavior in the first game. In the following discussion he was really unable for self reflection. After serveral minutes he told to all the gamers that he will leave. By doing that he kicked me again. What a poor and honorless behavior as an administrator.
The admins got their special power and rights to control the game, not to abuse it for their own personal interests. If the admins tolerate such bad guys in their crew their respect will sink.
Have a good day
flowerPower

I can't comment on the specifics of your situation, flowerPower, but I can say that admins spend their time (and frequently their money) to run their servers. As a result, their power over the server is similar to the power of a dictator.
I am not certain if NoobLounge is running the /auth mode, which allows trusted admins to gain master on a server, but I can say that the people who have access to gaining master via the /auth command tend to only kick players for abuse or cheating. Perhaps you should try playing on a server which lists its 'master' as 'auth' in the server listing.
Also, NoobLounge appears not to be running the latest version, and since you connected to it, you are also not running the latest version of Sauerbraten, the Trooper Edition. I suggest that you upgrade.

Try going to the line in shared/tools.h right before queue is defined (line 682 or so) and do:
#define queue blahblah
Let me know if that works.

I committed a version of this workaround to SVN, so you could also try just updating from SVN again and compiling and see if that fixes it.
