I was wondering if there was a way to fix it? It's causing my whole map to flicker while I'm in edit mode...

Quin or MeatROme, usually. But they'll probably see your post here.
For clarification, http://quadropolis.us/feedback is broken. ("cannot send more than messages per hour".)

I've found other bugs too: eg. I get "Access denied" when going to my own script http://www.quadropolis.us/node/786
Also you can't see past the first page of tracking items for a user, eg. this page is blank: http://www.quadropolis.us/user/908/track?page=1
Also I can't get to this page, though I can't remember how I got there: http://www.quadropolis.us/flexinode/utable/2?author=N1NJ4

The days of old have past sence some fine bytes of code have been put in a few museums! When can we have the original source code archived at a museum for are children and grandchildren to experience A class of free source code we all will one day come to appreciate?!
(This playable map editor is not shamed with greed! Shame on those who send bad commands trough the sever!)

Coincidentally, I just played Cube 1. Too bad development on it has stopped, because it's still very fun, and would benefit from bug fixes (security issues most importantly) and extra features.

Why play cube 1? Sauerbraten is much more advanced and better and more fun to play.

I'm trying to get a map to execute a package when you open it. Same with waypoints. All of them are named gridlock (gridlock.ogz, gridlock.wpt, gridlock.cfg) I can't get either the .wpt or the .cfg to load on open. Help please.

Some people don't like the fast movement of Sauer, and therefor prefer Cube.

AssaultCube's a lot different than Cube. Good game, but not the same.

You fail to see the point, you could go and recreate the old gameplay with the AssaultCube code, as it is still actively maintained it is the only version of Cube Engine around that has "bug fixes (security issues most importantly) and extra features"

Hi,
I`am using Windows XP (SP3) with a ATI X2300 and have installed the newest Sauerbraten software.
I try to start a LAN Game and get the Error message:
master server registration failed: failed pinging server
after starting the server.bat (bin\\\\sauerbraten.exe -d)
What is it? Why the game want conect a Master server when I want start a server?
Thx for help!
Leihtasse
PS: The Game runs without any problems and i can conect to games in the Internet.

Of course I've thought about that, but then it would just split up the players who are essentially playing the same game, except some possible changed assets depending on their individual licenses. Getting people to adopt a new unofficial version would be difficult as well.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess you're behind a router, right? If you are...you have to forward the correct ports to your server machine. The ports are in docs/config.html.

Thx for your respons!
You mean, i have to config my router?
"Servers use the ports 28785 (UDP) and 28786 (UDP)"
But why my server need a connection to a Master Server? What is a Master server? Look the server over my LAN to himself and can´t do that, because the ports are not free?
Is that right?
Regards
Leihtasse
