After installing new drivers for my vido card (An Nvidia GeForce4 MX440), im getting grpahical issues. Many textures are missing, with just the skybox showing through. Im using OpenGL drivers (1.5), so i have no idea why this isnt working. Anyone have any idea how to fix it (in layman's terms)? Thanks in advance

I think so too. I honestly can't stand the grasswedge method... :s
I have however noticed that it performs alot better. Perhaps have both formats (the new and the old) in with a "grassformat 1/0" cvar?

#11678: Ground particles when shooting on grassland |

Hi everybody! I have an idea: make so that when player shoots into the 'grass' texture, there would be dirt particles instead of sparkles.
P.S. Where should be ideas posted, in general discussion or here?

Anyone have any idea who made the models in "packages\models\vegetation\" and how to contact him?

I'm pretty sure it was makkE, though there's a good chance it was gear. Not 100% though.

Kurt Kessler made them. If you have a question to ask him, it is probably best to just ask it here.

The C code for genenvmap() demonstrates going to a particular position and taking a screenshot along each of the 6 axis directions...

Or he could just put an ent there, goto the ent, and take a normal screenshot...

What is "ent"
And how exactly can I do this...
Can you give me sample code that shows how to make use of it and capture a screenshot of a (X,Y) coordinate ? preferably a 360 degrees orientation...

'ent' is an abbreviation for 'entity' - see the docs/wiki
