Ah, Cube Legends, good times. The title screen was quite a stupid little hack, but you could get rid of it by firing once. :) Man I was bad at coding back then, I look back at my changes and cringe (really, I look back at most of that project and cringe).

Hello, im interested if i can change the program title. I mean the text which is shown when you quit your game. I really would liked to rename this text \"saubraten engine\" to my own game name. I\'ve got a freeware opensource game but i dont want people to know where i did created my game :p

Why not? CUBE 2 is a great engine, and more people should use it. More people = more modifications = more features...
...ya know - besides the fact that you essentially just said that you want to take someone else's work and claim it as your own.
In University, that's called plagiarism and will get you kicked out. In real life, it's called copyright infringement and will get you sued and possibly imprisoned.

Hey I\'m having a lot of trouble downloading Sauerbraten. Every time I try to open it a small black window with white typing comes up, then my computer screen turns completely black. Then I have to hit ctrl alt delete to get out of the black screen. When it goes back to the normal screen it says Sauerbraten: Fatal Error. My graphics card is a generic PnP Monitor on ATI Radeon X1200. Can someone please tell me what\'s wrong and how to fix this?

Is it a widescreen monitor? It may be that the default resolution doesn't work for you.

I used to play Cube and Cube2 on my XP PC but can't get either to work on my Vista32 PC. Is there a trick or something?

You need to describe why it's not working, i.e. what's happening that makes you think it's not working.
Also need to give what your 3D hardware you have.
But regardless, make sure you have actually installed OpenGL drivers for your video card.

I have a Nevidia GEForce 6150LE. I installed Assault Cube and when I tried to run it it gave me a hint about the OpenGL dsrivers so I installed the latest version. Assault Cube now runs but neither of the Sauerbratens will run. I get a DOS type window with the following
C:\Program Files\Sauerbraten 2\Sauerbraten.exe -r
init: SJ1
init: enet
init: video: mode
Eventually I get an error box that says sauerbraten.exe not responding

I thought it might have something to do with my firewall so I clicked the shortcut to see and now everything works. I have no idea what's different today. Perhaps there was an eclipse or some solar flares or some other natural phenomenon.

Hello,
Is there a way to get rid of the weapons from the game? I am teaching a game design course at the high school level and would like to have no weapons in the program (for now any way). Thanks.

There is an option in the options menu called "hudguns" that will remove the weapons model from the first person view, however one can still use the weapons.
To actually remove the weapons completely, I believe you would have to edit the source and compile.

Correct.
The easiest thing to do would probably be to just set all the weapons to a non-damaging zero-range weapon.

Try this Sauer mod: http://www.kids.platinumarts.net/
It has been sanitized for teaching very young children, but still retains all the fun editing stuff, at least.
