I changed the nvidia_texgen_bug to 1 and these things are away...
However, when I try to enable fullscreenshaders such as black and white, the game freezes for 10 seconds and it then comes in. The bloom fullscreenshader is messed up, too. No choppy framerate at all, though (above 80 fps all the time)

I hate that the author turned ALL visual effects off but then complained that it's "lacking in the graphics department." People are going to assume the graphics of the screenshots he provided are as good as it gets.

I noticed that the screens were pretty poor too. Maybe we should email him some better ones, in a friendly "hey I think these would be more true to the game" kind of way?

Short answer, no. Long answer, yes - if you're willing to code.

Hi I recently installed saurebreten on a windows xp machine. I get a terrible framerate (in the range of .5-2 fps) to the degree that it's unplayable. I tried lowering the gfx and res options down all the way and it seemed to have no effect on fps. This computer should be able to handle saurebreten, as I have had it work just fine in the past

Do you mean cheats or secrets? If you mean cheats, try Google searching: sauerbraten cheats; if secrets: sauerbraten secrets

I don't know what you mean by secrets...Commands? If so, search 'sauerbraten command reference' on Google and click on the first one.

Please don't help people find cheats, it is contrary to the community's best interests to have a heap of cheaters online.

#11225: Third Person Games? |

Hello all,
I was doing some research on freeware game engines and Cube 2. From want I've seen so far it is mainly a FPS engine. So I would like to know if it's possible to make third person games with it as well.
Thanks.

I think marble arena is base on sauerbraten as well. (if it is, it certainly does not get mentioned anywhere)

I'm pretty sure pressing 9 turns on third person. So just turn on the third person variable in your mod and prevent the player from turning it off.

You can color it. It requires a special symbol (ctrl-L on Linux, I hear) followed by a number. Each number has a pre-defined color associated with it. Look it up in the docs. As far as size, that would need a code mod.
