#10719: The new texrotate, texscale etc |
by SephoD_
on 06/22/2008 13:13
|
|
Hey all!
I was wondering if anyone could shine a light on how to use the new texture commands to rotate and scale a texture slot. Do I understand it correctly that I can now use the same texture slot to skin 2 sides of a cube with differently scaled and rotated texture?
I have been reading through the manuals and all I have found was just the comments in the editing reference. It would be much apreciated if anyone could tell me how to use those commands, and if you tell me to RTFM then could you point me to where i can find it :)

#10720: In-game scale models |

Is it a dumb idea to plan out a map's design using very small cubes to make a scale model in-game? This is just a random thought I came up with while playing with the editor and failing to make anything useful.

* limited CTF games to 10 flags, or 10 minutes, whichever comes first
* respawn wait timer now flashes red instead of spamming console with "you need to wait" messages
* fixed some crashes when loading some maps
* fixed some collision bugs with grenades
* fixed crosshairfx var bug that prevented it from disabling
* fixed some skeletal animation errors
* fixed missing geometry in oddworld map
* updated the lighting in paradiselost to be less dark
that answer an unasked question?

Hello, I was wondering why I don't see any of the main people from Quadropolis and these forums on servers.

Simple: don't use the Mac MightyMouse. It's designed for internet browsing, and sucks for games (BTW it does have a right-click, as well as a side-click).
I use a MacAlly Icemouse Jr.
http://www.macally.com/EN/Product/ArticleShow.asp?ArticleID=154
$20, and made for Mac. It's tiny, so you barely notice you're using a mouse. I would suggest not installing the drivers, though.

@JadeMatrix:
This mini mouses are not very good for use over long time. You don't play Sauerbraten only 5 Min/day, do you?
I also advise a mouse for the "right" hand. Search for something ergonomically that fits in your hand.
I don't know much about mac, but cant you use "normal" USB mouses with it? So you wont be limited to mac specific mouses (and perhaps prices)?

A master can be anyone on the server. It is a player with the ability to kick and spectate/unspec other players, as well as force map changes, switch servers between O/L/P.
An admin has direct control over the server, and might not be the master or even a player. They can usually shut down the server, ban players (ip's), and (as I've noticed sometimes on TC servers) work in server-side anti-cheating software.
Basically master:game::admin:server.

Yes, any mouse will do, I use a standard microsoft mouse with my mac - nice and cheap and quite compfy, I\'ve always hated apple mice - just about their only thing I do hate.

Just what I use, it works for me. There are no mac-specific mice, just that that company happens to support Macs.

An admin can also usurp master status from the current master (if there is one).

Nope. Kick=until the server empties, or /clearbans (i think), done by master in-game. Ban=until unbanned, done by admin.
