#10671: Compiling Question |

Hello, not long ago I obtained the Sauer. CVS on my Mac computer (I already have it on my Windows one) and compiled it with Xcode. Then, a day later, I updated the CVS. Do I need to re-compile it all again, or do I only need to do it once?

Go into editmode and look for the particles in the middle of each rainy spot. Memorize the values, and then create a new particles ent with those values, adjusted to meet your size requirements.

You usually need to recompile it again, unless someone was kind enough to compile a Mac executable before they updated CVS.

So that means that every time I update CVS I have to re-compile it, even if the only new thing is a map?

No, you only need to compile for code changes.

You should only have to recompile if there are chances to the code.

It seems that the new version of Sauer. was delayed. When will it be released? I know I just got CVS, but I still want the new release to come out soon so I can read reviews and see what people think about it.

The announcement states that it may also be released later than June 15th.

I know, but I thought it would be out on the 15th because that's what a thread on these forums said.

#10683: Upload Compiled CVS for Macs |
by Titanic12ship
on 06/16/2008 22:33

For anyone that doesn't have CVS, I was able to successfully get and compile it on Mac so I can upload it to my site and you can download and enjoy it without waiting for the new release of Sauer. I am just trying to help people get, compile, and play the Sauer. CVS. If no one wants me to, I won't. I just thought I could help a little.

@dude guy person:
This sound like you do not have the right driver for your graphic card. Try to download and install the drivers from your fabricator. Its most likely ATI or Nvidia.

#10687: starting a server |

When I start the server it says: Your server did not respond to ping. I disabled the firewall and forwarded the ports 28785 and 28786. I have a dlink router and windows xp x64. I was not sure exactly how to forward the ports so that is what I suspect is the problem. I uploaded a screenshot of the port forward page so someone can check and see if it was done correctly http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/577b2ceb22.jpg. If port forwarding is not the problem could you please tell me what else I could try?
Thanks
