So, I'd like to get the party started so we can have a new release out the door by the end of November.
To that end:
Mappers - <emphasis!!!>FINISH YOUR MAPS AND PUT THEM ON QUADROPOLIS A.S.A.P. SO YOU CAN GET FEEDBACK AND FIX PROBLEMS.</emphasis!!!> I don't want to include broken or unfinished maps in the release. So if you have dreams of getting a map in the release, hurry it up.
Brave players - test the SVN stuff (requires compilation). Make sure nothing is horribly broken so that people don't have to experience horrible breakiness have the release.

We're getting there. There are still things that need to be taken care of. Be patient.
Meanwhile, if people want to help out, you can download the SVN stuff and test it. Just make sure there are no bugs/regressions from the previous release. More testing now means less post-release shittiness later.

svn page is here http://sourceforge.net/p/sauerbraten/code/4415/tree/ there is an svn checkout command there,
svn checkout svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/sauerbraten/code/ sauerbraten-code
You can see changes in the new version by looking at docs/history.html in svn, and looking at the topmost entry.

svn version works great for me. But there are never people in svn-compatible servers so I have never tested multiplayer. Maybe we can coordinate a test day or something like that?

#126: SVN and XCode on OSX |

I have a MacBook Pro from 2009 running OSX 10.6.8.
My Video card is an ATI Radeon X1600 and my mouse is a standard logitech G3 gaming mouse.
If I wish to compile from SVN, I must first replace the SDL, SDL_image, and SDL_mixer frameworks included in the XCode directory with the more up to date frameworks that are already on my system.
Also, when running in windowed mode, the menu mouse displays some strange behaviour. With V-sync off, it will slowly increase sensitivity over a span of about 8 seconds before suddenly dropping and slowly increasing again. With V-sync on, it is just erratic. This problem is non-existent in full-screen mode.
Everything else seems to work just fine.
P.S. The new menu layout is very nice

You may specify include directories to compiler without any need to replace something.

yeap - the mouse thing is a known issue.
Use SDL 1.2.14 and it should be better (could copy these SDL libs from the previous sauer release).
Please let us know if this fixes things for you.

Thanks for the info guys,
I used SDL 1.2.15 actually. I've never been able to use the included frameworks to compile the xcode.project, even when I tried to build from the source included in a release binary.
Of course, this fixes things for me unless you meant the mouse issue would be better, in which case I can't comment as I didn't notice it before now. Fullscreen FTW!
