problems with sauerbraten

ok, i play the multiplayer, and whenever i get into a big firefite, sauerbraten crashes. I have a fairly good system.

2.8 Ghz
512 RAM
64 Graphics

and i have high speed dsl.

is there anything i need to do to configure this properly?

maybe a little more info about your hard/software would motivate people to help out.
Intel or AMD
ATI or NVidia
What background tasks are active
ect
ect

It´s like asking:

ok, i cant get my car to start when it is raining. i have a fairly nice car.

4 wheels
1 backseat
1 maxed ashtray

and i have a sixpack bud in the trunk.

is there anything i need to do to get my car started?

um... i have an intel xtreme graphics card.....the ram is not shared i dont run ANYTHING else while playing sauerbraten, just the standard windows desktop. and the processor is an intel.....

does that suffice?

oh...and it shuts off the multiplayer when there is an explosion (grenade launcher or rocket) or when im playing a ctf game

Intel integrated graphics of any type are not adequate for running Sauerbraten. Buy an actual video card.

The ram is most definently shared, no intergrated chips come with 64mb of INBUILT memory

and unfortunately, all intel extreme graphics chipsets are horrible for games, with that sort of chip, you will have to stick to pre year 2000 games

I run sauer on my laptop with intel integrated chipset. Admittedly I can use up to 128mb of ram, but sauer runs fine at about 50fps.

One thing people don't realise to do is read the docs in README.html, you gotta make your sauerbraten.bat look more like:

bin\sauerbraten.exe -w640 -h480 -f0 ..

512 Megs of RAM ist quite sparse if you consider that the GPU eats away about a hundred...
