'Huge' Problem with Sauer in XCode...

by DerNalia on 08/21/2006 20:16, 14 messages, last message: 08/23/2006 02:20, 1217 views, last view: 04/19/2024 18:49

Many of the files are missing in the download, such as savegame.h(Reference), SDL_config_macosx.h(Not Referenced, but is missing). There are hundreds of Parse and syntax errors, and 204 warnings.

Has anyone fixed these issues?

I've answered this one before, search the General Thread for 'xcode'.
Title: "Re: xcode project from CVS can't be opened with xcode, 08/02/2006 16:33"

... and this isn't worthy of a new thread.

yes, thx, those steps aren't necessary for current CVS anymore, since i committed the fixes...

(@ DerNalia: ...but they may also apply to the latest source-release if you don't want to deal with CVS)

seriously, if you can't get the current sources with a CVS client now, you won't have any use for the source code of the next release too...

I'm fairly new to this engine, i really enjoy the simplicity of the mapping. Would you be willing to spare a bug free source (XCode)?

oh, another question, why is teh xcode source not with the os x download?

If you have xcode installed then you have all the other dev tools, including command line CVS. Read the instructions on using CVS from the sourceforge page - within CVS all the current code is there and compiles and runs fine (as checked last night). This is what the main developers use, so it should be good enough for you.

Yeah, i managed to get it compiled, except for it is telling me that i need to put some bat file in the main folder? it doesn't exactly tell me which bat file or which folder is the 'main' folder... so.. i'm close.

i'm not sure i know what the problem is, however if you switch the build-style of XCode to "Deployment-Release" you get a fully finished disk image with all necessary data

well... basically the file was in the wrong folder..... i fied it.

Another problem... this has got me thrown for a loop... when the engine is loading the default map, it loads a bunch of textures, and it gets to support1_s.jpg in the lunaran folder and it just stops working, it shuts down. I check the folder, and its there...

Any ideas?
