Your PC has its command prompt disabled. You need to fix that on your computer using an admin account.

No warranty with this... I just googled the error you mentioned.
Here you go - looks like a legitimate fix.
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/disablecmd.htm
Please don't mess with your registry if you don't know how. Have a techie friend or geeky person take care of it for you. :)
Hope it helps.

BTW - you don't have to do all three methods; just pick the one you like. I'd say if Method 1 works, that's obviously the easiest, even for someone who doesn't know their way around :)
Cheers!

That solution will most likely not work djRobbieF.. sounds like he is trying to play at a school LAN or other place with restricted PC access.. which would mean access to the Run dialog would be blocked also..
Here is a solution:
Copy the contents of the /bin directory into the main Sauerbraten directory. Then right click Sauerbraten.exe and create a shortcut to it. Edit the shortcut target to something like this, the command line options:
"F:\Program Files\Sauerbraten\sauerbraten.exe" -w1024 -h768 -f3
Not sure if it will bypass the command prompt.. but it should work.

Oh, I was under the impression that this was on his OWN computer. Not something I'd want to be caught doing at school :) lol.
Yes, running the executable directly would work. Even without the command arguments (you can set your resolution once the game loads from the menu).
