PainKiller

by Koi Kitsune2006 on 06/12/2006 01:01, 18 messages, last message: 06/20/2006 14:21, 1550 views, last view: 04/15/2024 20:19

Has anyone ever played Painkiller? Well, I am playing it atm and it really reminds me of the gameplay in Cube. It has only 5 weapons in the game and has really big bosses. I mean big. Makes it feel like the FPS version of Shadow of the Collosus. It's a really good game and I recommend it to anyone who also loves Cube.

It's a Commercial game. Downloading it is piracy. It isn't an expensive game. I got it for 20.

Good game, built from the serious sam engine. Worth having, since it's a cheap buy.

Serious Sam was a much harder game then Painkiller. Serious Sam had you fighting near 500 enemies at once.

Serious Sam, although having that INCREDIBLY LARGE amount of enemies, was easy. Of course, on the Mental difficulty is 99.999999999999999999% impossible. (lol...) I finished it in Serious difficulty!

I played it on Hard and it was a pretty rough time. Lots of quicksaving. My problem is that the game didn't scale up the difficulty evenly - the hardest scenes in the game weren't at the end, but the giant hordes you fought when you were still rationing ammo and before you got the cannonball. The Kleer Horde in Metropolis was the hardest part.

Funny, usually I hear it referred to as USD (dollars, not bills), or $US.

I think you're the first person I've ever heard call them USB.

Painkiller has pretty graphics with good evenly matched gameplay which has you fighting against hordes of demons from the Devil himself. You also fight Lucifer at the end game and the Expansion pack has 10 more levels of sheer joy and new weapons.

Serious Sam the First and Second Encounter is fun with online Coop. Hands Down. Even today it is fun as hell online coop. I did play Serious Sam 2 (the demo) and was pretty satified with its performance. I liked the weapons but there was something missing in the game. Wasn't giving me what I felt from the first game. Since your now able to drive vehicles and stuff.

At the moment I just got my hands on a game that is on the top 50 most Contreversal Games in Video game history. I'm playing Postal 2. Yes, I am peeing on people, killing cops, and burning people to death with my gallon of gasoline and unlimited matches. It was banned where I am at which is New York, USA. Thank you Ebay. lol

Painkiller is not built from the serious sam engine, it is built from it\'s own engine, from the ground up.

Correct, the PAIN Engine, designed specifically for Painkiller. Its actually quite a nice engine.

It is. Plays wonderfully and it doesn't feel stiff. I would like to play some coop on it though...
