also, my dad has a:

intel P4 2.8ghz
512mb DDR1-233 ram
ATI radeon 9250 128mb
cube runs fine at 60fps, but he has a problem with vsync
sauer runs VERY slow, around 3-1 fps even on curvedm

thats cos of that ATi bug, the lag on sauer, my sisters pc has that prob, same video card too, except hers is 64mb. lol quake 4 gets about 40fps on lowest detail except everything is some really weird shade of green.. but she doesent play games anyway so I dont give a shit...

My pc...
3.2Ghz P4
2GB DDR2 RAM
256MB GeForce 7800GT (OMFG!!)

sauer: 199 FPS ALWAYS except virtual reality sp map ;-)

cube: 250 - 300 FPS always ;-) cept maybe the original fortassault... 40 ps or so there ;-)

my cpu is the bottleneck and I still have not yet used my 7800GT to its full potential... Im not supposed to have a 7800GT anywayz, i got it cos my 6600GT fried :(

My pc rocks for Quake 3ing ;-) as you would expect but I can play Quake 4 1280x1024 highestQ with 4xAA and 4xAI, same goes for Half-Life 2 :)

got another rig that is pretty good, 3.4ghz p4 , 1gb ddr2 and a 6600GT, awesome for when friends come over and we play over LAN.. that pc gets about the same FPS in cube+sauer as me.

then there is mah brother.. he has the 'reject' pc, whatever is left over really, it used to be really shit but I did it up for him recently so it now is acceptable for casual gaming, athlon 1700+, 784mb ram (he used to have 256 :S), 256mb 9600XT (he used to have a geforce 4 mx, but I fried that with overclocking ;-) so he lived with a 4mb s3 virge for a while)

thats all my gaming systems, but for when I go places nothing beats my good ol' laptop :D
pentium 120mhz
32mb ram! zomg i upgraded from 16 ;-)
OMGOMG 2MB VIDEO!! :P
windows 98se but it makes it lag, 95 runs better...

its actually a toshiba 430cds, and ive had it since 1997, and it has never failed me. it actually plays quake ok at 320x200, and starcraft on it isnt too bad, and its what I use to play DESCENT!! ZOMG its not the same to play the OpenGL version of descent on a fast pc... you need to play it the way it was intended ;-)

wow I have toooo much time on my hands, mainly because its sunday night and there isnt anything good on TV...

O_O 300 FPS ?!!?

My config :

2.0 ghZ processor (i think it's AMD, not sure)
512 mb of RAM
nVidia Geforce 5200 (a bit old, but good)

Cube : 59-60 fps, can fall at 40-45 fps but not less... except with toggleocull :|

Sauerbraten : I don't know what happened - 30 fps, 60 fps, 30 fps, 60 fps, in metl3 !

300 FPS because I have vertical sync disabled. I find it hard to play with only 60 FPS.

point there cc.. 60hz is still ugly to look at :) I´d get a headache. I even play at 800x600 to get 100hz, and vsync that.. hmm smooooth :)

My LCD is on 80something hz at 1280x1024, and I hate vsync, I like getting as many FPS as possible.

Ha, I envy all you rich people with >500gb ram and >128gb graphics card, I\'m not that rich :(

I generally get ~ 120fps on my 512mb ram, 2.1ghz Athlon XP, 128mb nvidia geforce mx 4000 (on cube for linux, windows is slower). Sauer is about 100fps.

under sauer with /maxfps 500 i get 499fps all the time with small maps.

With large maps like the rpg demomap i get about 200-300, if i fly well above the map and look down (in edit mode) this drops to about 80-90.

1GB DDR1 ram, athlon64 2800, nvidia 6800GS running Ubuntu Linux

ive got an old pc with a geforce MX card and a 350Mhz celeron, 128 meg of ram and i got cube working at 640x480. it has a tired old motherboard and clunky hard drive. steady 40 fps! cube will run on anything!

lol, true!

ages ago i tried it on a:

900mhz pentium something (dont know if it was I II or III)
128meg ram
intergrated graphics !!

@ 640x480 cube would run ~30fps on metl3, was really slow on bigger maps like camera, it will run on anything

servers don't really have any requirements, do they?

Mac G4 Cube
OS X 10.3
450 mhz
448 mb ram
ATI Rage 128 Pro - 16 mb VRAM

20-40 fps Cube except on certain maps.
15-30 fps Sauer on certain maps, rest are unplayable :(

I still sometimes win Sauer instagib games on the maps I can play :) - who needs >15 fps?

Don't you just love old video cards?

(In August or so I'll be getting a new Intel iMac on which I'll dual boot Mac and Ubuntu - and maybe triple boot those with Windows if I can reconcile that with my conscience - that'll fix things.)

Hi,

Someone told me that recently someone posts here as \"wasda\". In case anyone wonders, this is not me. I have been \"banned\" from this forum by the mighty Aardappel, all my posts have been deleted, and I\'m not posting here any more. So, if any posts by \"wasda\" turn up, it\'s not me.

Sincerely,
J. Kroll, aka \"The wasda+ who makes EDM and was banned from the cube board\" :-)

Specs:
Athlon 64 FX-53 @ 2.52 from 2.40(I want an FX-60... :(
1gb of crappy ass RAM
80gb 7200rpm IDE Harddrive
250gb 7200rpm SATA 1st Gen Harddrive
GeForce 7800 GTX (whee!!!)
A really old monitor (CRT, up to 1280x1024@75)

Anyone wanna try to beat that?
