that can run cube and sauerbraten fine.

change your pc from hot to cool? well the only way that you could do that is if you underclock your pc. that makes it slower.

uuuh you DO NOT want to underclock your pc. thats just stupid. rather than looking for a program, get a pc builder to install an extra fan or 2 in your pc

that wouldn't make any diffrence. As passa said, the best thing to do is buy an extra fan or 2

there isnt a program u can use to simply make your PC cooler with no catches. you can make your PC run slower, but do u want less performance?

You could do what most of the people I know do, and just leave the side of the case off. Then you could aim a housefan at it if it's still a problem.

and run the risk of EMI. bleh.

just reorganize the wires, maybe move the whole tower, and see if you can rearrange your PCI cards to keep a bit cooler. ultimately, the only real solution is to buy more fans or cooler hardware.

Fans are cheap. We're not talking about expensive gear here - I once paid $5 for a fan that took up a PCI slot.

Alternately, just get a more aerous locale. Believe me, trying to get your system cooler is a hardware job - trying any firmware hacks is nigh-suicide.

Google for overclocking and do the opposite.

not so much of a good idea to underclock, it will void the warranty.

just get more fans, or check if the system is overclocked in the first place

I've never owned a computer that had a warranty. In the one in a million scenario that you damage your computer with udnerclocking, you could just complete the CMOS reset jumper before you take it in.

This of course is the same jumper that makes bios passwords a silly idea.

he seems like a computer newbie, telling him to overclock is not the best idea.

konrad, if someone built your computer, then ask them to fix this problem, as we dont have enough information to fix it from here.
