Cube Virus error

Hi,

I use clam AV,

did a quick scan on the cube installer before running...

Calam AV claims there is a Clicker trojan...
Here is the Windows scan results:

I booted into Linux to make a save spot to disect the file.
After installing it to a clean WINE enviornment, I scanned ,
the Trojan seems to be in the UNINSTALL.exe...

hope this is just a Clam AV bug :)

I got the file from sourceforge.

another antivirus program also detected this as a virus. dont worry there is none, I use NOD32 on my pc and there are no viruses detected and on the other pc it has Norton AntiVirus which also picks up nothing.

yea,

I reported this to clam AV.....

the new update did not detect the virus, must have been a bug...

Clam AV did this to me with Black Box for windows last year....

Guess they make mistakes sometimes.

There is no virus... it is an inappropriate detection. Many antivirus programs use the same definitions for their databases.

Search the forum here, there are other posts about this. (e.g. AntiVir 7)

Clicker makes your internet explorer have cookies to stupid german sites.

wtf, hes sending a letter to sourceforge? 2 things..

1. wtf does he mean by this? wat? hes reporting the project or something?

2. letter? if he means email, an hes calling it a letter than obviously he has no social life.

btw darius, I have NOD32 and Norton Antivirus 2006 on my pc.. and neither found anything.

if the virus is in the uninstall.exe file then it has nothing to do with cube, it is the nullsoft installer or something, that is of course assuming that there is a virus in the first place.
