how to join a server

hi everybody i just wanted to know how to play on a server online because i am new. i am an ok editor its just that i want to learn more online.can some one please help me step by step.

1. start cube (make sure there is an internet connection available)

2. open the menu (press esc) then go to multiplayer --> update server list from masterserver

3.pick one from the list (wait a few seconds and it'll tell you how many ppl are on each server and what map etc) hit enter and you've connected
