I feel that Makke's models are very out of place in the Cube Engine. They just don't look or feel right. They are grat models but they are more WW2 type than fantasy quake type shooter.
I think Makke should have just tried improving the old ones, such as the ammo box's left them the same only curved the edges on the box's and improved the textures etc.
I really don't think they suit the Cube Engine and are more suited for maybe a Cube Engine mod, or even Sauerbraten.
This is not a flame, and please do not take it the wrong way.

where did this come from? no one is forcing you to use makkE's models, but they're great models, and don't deserved to be publicly denounced.
Or are you just really confused and think that DCP's new models are MakkE's? That's just as bad- I don't always agree with the way DCP's models fit with Cube, but don't make a topic just to complain about it.
Just make your own models if you feel so strongly about it. Better, write some good clean code to make the models toggleable for Sauerbraten (wait, that's only about two lines of code :P)

if you don't like the new weapons/powerup models, it's easy enough to drop the old ones back into the game.
The first time I played cube with the new ones, I was not sure about them either...then 5 minutes passed, and I was used to them...no big deal.

new ammo models not cube-ish... hm... because they aren't all the same cubes with different textures pasted on them anymore? lol... next time someone complains about the monster models because they aren't just textured cubes moving around therefore beeing not cube-ish enough... hahahahaha

Didn't know where else to try, but we're going to need a few people with certain talents to help with our Legends of Sauer mod. Currently, we have our own forums up, and have five people working on the project. Passa is currently in the process of of replacing all core Sauerbraten content with customized things and will be a mapper/semi-coder, I am modeling the weapons and will be designing a single player campaign. Max of S2D will be a mapper, as will be WigSplitta. We are not sure if ConorKirk is helping us anymore, as he has not posted in the forum or replied to my email. We are in need of the following talents:
*A coder/scripter
*An animator
*A texturer
*A music composer
*Another modeler
Any skill level will do, though I would preferably like it if you had some idea what exactly you're doing though. ;0)
Anyone who is interested can drop a line right here, and I will get right back to you.
