map naming convention |

Now that Sp's in, it would be nice to follow some kind of naming convention, as Pushplay has done in sp_stalingrad. And actually, sp1-test. Plus, if someone decides to make some little map menu-building front-end, it would facilitate things quite a bit.

i would say, if the same map exists as an dm map, it should be sp_dmmapname.
but i dont care much :)

yes you should have a naming convention, its annoying to look thru a list of like 30 maps searching for the 5 (or whatever) SP maps, like i sometimes end up doing.

As soon as I come across a new map I add it to my menu. That way I have a list of all maps, keeping the sp maps seperate, and an extra menu for my favorites.

and I don't think there is a need for one. Bigger SP projects will in the future end up in their own packages (I just implemented all the facilities for this, own scripts/textures/skybox/music etc).

i have about 15-20 new boxes to be released, what will the naming conventions b for the new setup?
still ik_lake (or what eva)??
cos if not i can put them up on CUBEWorld immediatly
