by Hyperslug on 10/23/2005 13:14, 12 messages, last message: 10/26/2005 13:11, 1299 views, last view: 04/28/2024 17:39

Hey it wouldnt be totally stupid to hope for a ps2 port. afterall quake 1&2 have been ported to this system. Winvice the commodore 64 emulator also works fine on a ps2 so does SNES games. i anyone hears anything about a ps2 port post it here ok?

oh and by the way, i would like to have a port for my n64... or gamecube... or ps one... or GBA... or as we're at it, a symbian60 version for my 6630 would be fine...

just kidding ;-)

no problem... I have devkits for all these devices lying around anyway. And porting an engine to something like a ps2 only takes a few hours anyway, not months like some crappy programmers would have you believe.

And I want a pony. And a car. And a ponycar.

Although apparently you can get some of the old Id games for the DS. Very cool.

It would be even faster to port Cube to the SNES and then use the SNES emulators to play it on all those other systems.

why don't you go read about the ps2 first before making assumptions? I have actually used the ps2 devkits... there is no OpenGL (at least not free or fast), and development is a complete nightmare. It took a decent programmer several weeks to get a textured cube on screen (optimized, from scratch).

Well there's always a chance Cube gets ported to some new hardware like Intel did.
