First I would just like to say how wet I got when I saw those new models.
Fucking awesome, really nice work. I love the shotgun fucking love it.
Anyway, can anyone convert a .3ds model for me to .md2? I want to use it as one of the weapons in the game. I baught the models in a big CD pack of models the otherday. (about £60).
Anyway if anyone can do this for me thank you very much, just email me mukkan@phreaker.net and I will send you the model, or alternativly I use AIM, MSN and ICQ just email me for the details.
Thanks,
Mukkan :)

I might know why.
md2 (at least in milkshape afaik)
demands you to put at least one joint into the model and assign all vertexes to it, before you can export it.
It doesn´t matter where the joint is btw.

this is nescessary in milkshape, because it uses skeletal animation. don't ask me why you need to do this for a static model, it's the way how milkshape wants to have it done. the joint isn't saved in the .md2 file of course...

Is there a way to extract/convert .pk3 files to .md2s? I found a lot of Polycount's Quake 3 models I'd like to use in Sauer.

No. pk3's are constructed completely differently - torso, legs, and head are different models in Q3, whereas they're all 1 model in Q2.
