#1: here's how

in order to change the music in-game, you must open the console and type:

/music <file>

the music will be from the packages folder in your cube directory, so if you want a music file inside a folder in the packages folder then you should type:

/music <folder>/<file>

note that you must include the file extension (.mp3, .ogg, .midi etc)

example:

/music songs/deathB.mid
would play the music deaathB.mid inside the songs folder inside the packages directory.

P.S. note you cannot play ordinary .wav files.

Where is the MP music kept? I found the SP music in packages/songs, but I couldn't find the music used in MP.

not really. if you had the sleep command to spare you could set it up the hard way, but for the most part you have to use either one song or switch with triggers

#5: Not playing .mp3's?

by Biff Cornwall on 08/25/2005 23:12

I'm new to Cube, and I'm trying to figure out why I can't play any .mp3 files. I've actually added the files to the songs folder, and when I type /music songs/song.mp3 it just says "Unable to play song.mp3" Anyone know what's going on?
