Yes, I know I haven\'t been around/playing cube in months, but we\'re going to be having a lan party and we\'d like to set up a lan server. I have no idea how to even start, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Whiz, just have one machine launch server.bat, know it´s internal ip and tell everyone to connect to it. (you can even connect to the "computer´s name" in windows)
If you want to have a certain mapcycle going for that lan, you might think about customizing the menus.cfg and hand it out to everyone on the lan.

to a local LAN game? Bring up the command "talk" line with T, then type in -
/connect <IP of machine running game>
and press enter.
So if I wanted to join a game on local machine 192.168.0.100, I type T to get the command line, then
/connect 192.168.0.100
and press enter.
If it has a password - then set that first with T then-
/password <whatever it is>
enter
Then /connect <IP address> enter

Hello everyone! Heard you were having a LAN party! I cannot join an existing LAN game that one of my computers succeded to create. And if I want to start an Internet game, how do I do that? Is it possible to just enter "/connect" followed by the IP address - even if it is over Internet? Even if I've tried before, I would like some help with it. When I tried, the response were "Cannot connect to server" or something like that. Then I selected Multiplayer/Update server list. My friend's game were there, but the status was "waiting for server to respond", and if I tried to join it anyway I got the reply "Cannot connect to server" followed by "Disconnect". Need some help here! Mail me, I am not available all day :)!
/Raptor
