Another odd bug, probably in drivers

The bug is probably in the nVidia Riva TNT2M64 drivers, but I'm not sure.

I get HOM. Not the minor, little localized bits of HOM, but full-screen, ugly, unplayable HOM. Textures (with the exception of sky, where it hasn't been clipped out) aren't drawn. Items are still drawn, but leave trails across the surrounding HOM. Needless to say, this sucks massively.

On a side note, I'd be willing to do the rewriting necessary for Direct3D support (read: people with sucky OpenGL implementations would be able to play).

I am using the same card (32 meg) and have no problems at all. The game plays quite well. My card is an AGP version. Driver version 4.12.01.650. BIOS is 2.05.17.03.

Might be the version of the drivers I'm using, then - 4.11.01.0191. I'm hoping a newer version of the drivers works better. :-/

The problem's not in the drivers - it's that you have to replace the opengl.dll in cube/bin with the nvopengl.dll file. Dunno why.

How did you get an OpenGl.dll into your cube/bin directory in the first place? It's not supposed to be there, since Cube should be using your system's default opengl implementation.

I've also got this problem. Copying the nvopengl.dll to the cube/bin dir doesn't have any effect on the problem.

Any other fixes?

It's fixed now. Just installed the 3dtw9x and TNTW9XE drivers.

Cube looks good :)
