Super Cows for Cube

I got quake II model pack from somewhere and it had a cow in it, with some skins. So I said to myself, "I'm gonna mak a cow cube, just for the heck of it". And I did. But, and here's the catch, the cows are nearly invincible, bringing a gameplay that is only dreampt of. Well not really. The point is it took me FIVE shots from a shotgun at CLOSE range to kill an OGRO. If that isnt freaky I dunno what is. If this is not somthing new, and I'm a total n00b, which I am... Just ignore me and wait this thread to be deleted. I, personally thought is was pretty cool.

Maybe the Cow is doing start_animation(); so it wont be hitted when its anime is starting.

I have no clue why it does what is does. I was expirementing more and found that somtimes they just become invincible. And the shots vary from time to time. For example somtimes it would take shotgun shots from close range to kill an ogro, and then somtimes 5, like I siad (thats the max ive seen it.) I am trying hard to figure is all out.

I haven´t yet understood what that zip with the model and the skins is about.. am I supposed to replace the ogro with that?

Firehazzard, the reason it's so hard to kill is simple: you're not hitting the bounding box. there's the conflict that the cow is much longer than it is tall, which is the opposite of the ogro.

really... this model needs some work. no, it needs a lot of work. the legs don't move. the skins (which aren't titled properly) looks like they were made in paint. the death animations are simple rolls. it's made up of basic shapes, so it has corners galore. i realize making a model takes a lot of work: i'm trying to make a player model myself. the only redeeming factor is the low polycount, but even that's not that great.

sit down with your modeller and see if you can't make this model a bit more detailed and animated. that's what i've been doing for a long time with my model. at least you've got a basis to work from now :)

Hey I didnt make this. My models are good, at least compared to this. This one is (another word for crap), I'm just saying that I get an abnormal behavior from this model which actually makes SP more chalenging. I'm working on a model of stewie from the great show family guy. his head REALLY HARD. If youve seen him you would know what i mean.

Let me be more clear. What I did is replace ALL the cube models with cows. They look really crappy, but i don't care, they make the game a lot harder. This is why I made this thread. And tentus, if you could be a little clearer, you last post left me very confused.
