New Masterserver...

by DennisJm on 03/26/2005 08:01, 16 messages, last message: 04/01/2005 22:29, 1489 views, last view: 05/01/2024 13:45

Is there a way I can make my own masterserver, for my game? So people can connect there and play against each other? If so, how?

-Thanks

No... I mean like add a new masterserver, where clients will connect to and be able to view others' servers through...

To make something for example, Cube's Masterserver is 'wouter.fov120.com'

I want to make a masterserver for my game and MODs, etc... How can I do this?

you'll most likely have to code one yourself. You can't use the Cube one (read the source readme on why).

hmm...protocol should be lower than 128 and you can't use the offical bins with this masterserver. Perhaps I changed some things to make it work(can't remember), can you check if mine works?(cubebot.bots-united.com/cube/masterserver.cgi/)

Yes, this works, but I do have a question... How did you make it?

I used this script, make sure the right permissions are set on the file and your server supports cgi.
Does your status page(the link to the file on the server) looks like this: http://cubebot.bots-united.com/cube/masterserver.cgi ?
