Is there any way of removing the music? Sorry, but honestly those midi's are a pain in the ear.

In the config file edit musicvol to 0 and it may never set up automatickally the music to 100 again
also the autoexec triggers everything in its file on startup so edit the music to 0 or change the music to make a happy thing.

what jean is incoherently saying is this:
edit autoexec.cfg by changing "musicvol 100" to "musicvol 0". there are comments ( // blah bleh bluh) to the right of everything if you get confused.
Or, you could add a line saying to override the default music by typing in "music "songs/y0.mp3"" or whatever the song is you want
remember that most of the cube music is not midi but ogg vorbis, and if you can't tell the difference you may want to invest in a new sound card.

I think he referred to some of the midis in some of the sp-maps... midi´s always depending on sound card...
ohh.. the good old days of opl3 ;)
listening to the classic´s (doom,duke3d, etc) music on those crappy samplesets can suck, especially if they were made to sound cool on opl3...
heh, I was about to translate jean pierre´s explanation aswell..
jean pierre, please: ;:. .. !

To make no music
1)Open autoexec.cfg you need notepad or a file viewer to do this
2)Edit musicvol from 100 to 0
3)Everytime you start now you have music to 0
Note:Edit your name and team as you like if you did't did that ;)
