by Aardappel_ on 02/09/2005 00:54, 234 messages, last message: 06/17/2008 06:12, 245276 views, last view: 12/09/2021 04:06

The port of Cube created by Intel for their latest mobile cpu & 3d chipset has been uploaded to sourceforge. You can get it in the files section as usual here:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=91993

Some (older) screenshots are here:

http://cubeengine.com/cube_intel_pda/

And the hardware you need to run this is available for example here:

http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/axim_x50v?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs

What about message rating?

If the rating goes below -5, then it should be moderated and hidden from the list.

.dmg is a Disk Image File Format for Macs. If you can't open this format, you can't use its contents anyway. Download the right version for your OS.

want it on the iphone, except the game is not formatted for a touchscreen. Probably have to run a keybaord at the same time and take up like 1/4 of the screen. Its definatly powerful enough

iPhone is not an open platform. You won't be able to port apps to it unless Apple says so.

Nope, its running a 'cut down' version of OSX, open to third party and first party programs.

But regardless.. I doubt the hardware could handle Cube, let alone Sauerbraten. I can see Quake and Doom on this thing though (hell, Doom has been ported to the iPod!)

to handle core animations the iphone has to be pretty powerful. It is more likely more powerful than most other pocket pcs and definatly good for some games.
And by the way if you have to play cube all the time even when not at a computer, there is something wrong with you.

I find if I play a game too much (it was Tetris this weekend..) I can play it inside my head too. Freaky shit :/

Worse is if you spend a whole day on a game, it gets into your dreams :/

But seriously 21312, "And by the way if you have to play cube all the time even when not at a computer, there is something wrong with you"
Um.. whats the damn point of a portable gaming device then? Ever heard of a Gameboy/Nintendo DS/Playstation Portable? Thats the POINT of these devices.

Anyway there goes my dream of a month going by without this thread being bumped..

same stuff here;

sauer is the strongest game I have played.

Also, one of few my dreams (but not about FPS), consisted of ac_complex from ActionCube, lol ;)

Wow I thought it was just me. After playing it flashes in my mind non stop. It's like streaming video.

It is actually quite annoying because it is bright.
