A problem with video

Hello, excuse my English because I'm French, I have a Problem with the video in Cube, when I launch the game, he writes : "cube -w1024 -h768"
But I want to Cube begins in a 800*600 configuration.
I have tried to lauch the game in DosMode: "Cube -w800 -h600"
But it's appear on the screen :
"Cube -w1024 -h768 -w800 -h600"
And he runs in 1024*768, how can I do
