started cube (or tried) and got this error message:

using fedora core 3 on vmware 4

Fomating would help, but it would be useful to know what OS you are using as well... quick fix-all list for PCs:
1. restart
2. get drivers
2. add more ram
3. upgrade other parts
4. format HDD

To run on windows xp just unpack it and run the bat file.

No, just download, unzip using winrar, and run cube.bat

or, if you want an installer that makes shortcuts on your desktop, use the one at zarate.homedns.org/stuff
its just served off of my home cable modem, so its slower than shit.

Set the password to P, so you can join servers that are password protected. See the -p command line option.
