The problem with Liero compared with soldat is that the controls are bad... no mouse aim is not fun. I also agree that soldat was ruined by realism, the first versions were so much fun...

Red Pixel 2 is looking good, but I doubt a final version is ever going to be released.

Whenever I update from the master server and try toconnect to one, it says:

connection failed"
what is happening?

Can anyone tell me what the modes mean under Vote Level? What exactly is instagib, FFA/Dual CoopEdit, etc? I checked the readme and couldn't fin the info. Can anyone send me to the right location? We're setting up a cube server to play what used to be called "deathmatch mode" (in Quake) over lunch.

First, FFA/Duel is deathmatch. There's another option that is also deathmatch, but don't remember what its called. Coopedit is for cooperative map editing - don't use this. Instagib is as it seems (although you have the fist available for close combat). Teamplay and team instagib are the same, except with team score tracking (just set your /team to teh same as another player to join his team). Then it gets complicated: Efficiency is like Rocket Arena - all weapons, no pickups. Tactics is a last-man-standing mode where you're given weapons at random - I highly recommend it for a small number of players on a tight map like Plagiat.

With instagib your health is 1, that way your already dead if you got hit once.

'Gib' means corpse giblet of flesh, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just making an educated guess). Hence, "Insta Gib" means Instant Giblets of people, or one hit kills. The mode is all about very fast reactions and accuracy, b/c you won't get two shots at a good player.

you must extract the new version, it´s an archive just like .zip
winrar can do it (and several other programms)

I know how to help you

1)Get the very very latest ZIP Extractor

2)Download Cube 2004 PC not PDA version

3)Wait for the download else the dload will crush(unless you have a manager)

4)After D/Load 2x click .tar.gz and then Click the Extract button on any folder you want.(Cube will automatically makes its folder for you ;) other then that have fun)
