New chaingun replacement!

This one doesnt look (too) good due to cubes renderer, and wasnt intended for cube. But it looked pretty cool so i shoved darthvims hands on it and compiled it, and here it is! ^_^

i was going to add some recoil but due to the new "kickback" system in cube i thought it would be better not too...i was also thinking of making the finger move when you shoot...what do you guys thing?

first, the models hands were NOT made by dartvim!

second, the hands are placed on the model absolutely wrong. they hold the gun as if the player is left handed, but the model is on the right side of the screen. that's impossible. if you fire a machinegun in that pose in real life, say good bye to your shoulder...

lol... I thought that those were bullets...

Personally, I think that it needs some animation recoil, the chaingun doesn't have as much recoil as the other weapons, and a recoil on the animation would make the weapon feel more "powerful"

(on a side note, are the animations for the weapon stored in md2.qc?)

no, the qc is responsible for the names of the animation sequences and which frames belong to a certain sequence...

Yes, i realise this, but it wouldnt blast off your shoulder like this. Ill try make the correct hand positions.

Ill add this, i did think of it but i kinda thought it looked cooler with no recoil.

It looks cool, but I think it would look and feel better if it recoils when it fires...

And like I said before, it just doesn't "Feel" right without something... It doesn't feel like you are firing if it doesn't move at all...

yup, you don't need a qc file for making a model for cube. ms3d informs you about a missing qc file (if you don't have one) but nevertheless compiles the .md2 anyway...

oh ok, ive actually removed the left hand now...and instead it holds it in one hand, it seems a little strange but its not too bad, im going to try it about a little to see if i prefer it.

Did you ever add a bit of shake to the animation? and did you fix it to be right handed now?

i added the qc file for having no errors with milkshape and for the due to other modelors who want to make a weapon, have all the information that they need.

about the hand.
The FIST(s) you can see in you HUD were not made by me. my model wasn't finished untill the release date
