easy: look in the autoexec.cfg and the readme files and look for "flight sim mode"

out of interest... I was always under the impression that the vast majority of players prefer quake style mouse controls (the cube default, invmouse 0) as opposed to flight sim mode (invmouse 1).

Lets have a quick vote, reply to this message with either "0" (default) or "1".

My vote: "0" (default)

Unless i'm playing a flight sim, but that's a different story :)

I just like being helpful

i also believe the majority of players plays it "normal"- style since nowadays it´s default in all games I believe...The only game I can remember where it was 1 was duke3D..

I used to play with an inverted mouse... then i learned 'normal' style so my friends and I can switch computers while playing games together more easily...

Yes I am a tool

Sorry, didn't mean to leave blank post. Same as Arghvark am I, used invmouse until I was teaching my fiancee to play FPS games and therin got used to 0. In retrospect, I think my aim is actually better with normal looking anyways - on invmouse, I'd occasionally confuse myself, especially in UT where the GUI was mouse-driven.

1 (flight sim), I set my mouse this way for all FPS games.

"the vast majority of players prefer quake style mouse controls"

After playing Quake since the beginning with invert, I consider invert to be Quake style controls ... or maybe I should say Duke3D style controls, although I don't think that defaulted to invert either. Anyway, I was playing some flight games at the time also, started noninvert but as soon as I switched it was a huge improvement. Trying to switch now is worse than starting over... although I think I'd have an easier time with 2-joystick PS2 games without an invert sense.

The mouse is a three-button keyboard - inverted or not, you can't put it next the real thing, so to say.

OK OK just kidding :)

I used to use 1, but recently I've been using 0 for some reason... so now I can't play any fast paced games, otherwise I get confused and nauesous...

for 10 years and still no need to change. i mean as long as a game let's you choose 0 or 1 it's ok, but what i really hate are games that are set to 0 and have no option to change to flightsim mode. grrrrrr...
