Hi all,

I've just uploaded a whole load of maps for you all! First off, I have my four small speedmaps (all four of them total took me around two hours to build). I also have another MP map too!

Finally, I've finished my SP map "Pyramid of Ra," so you all can do download that too! Have fun!! Any comments? Post them here!

How much playtesting do you do? Is it supposed to be as hard as it is?

Yeah, It's hard for me to beat :)

Perhaps I'll make an "easier" version too...

(Camera was very hard for me to beat too)

erm, have you beaten it yet? It's my first map, are there any comments you have as to make it easier?

If you notice, there's lot's of CARNAGE in that map too, It's partially a venture into SP mapping...

I always ended up with too much ammo near the end of the first part, so I changed it up some...

How far have you gotten? have you gotten to the colleseum yet?

Oh yeah, I played through it at least 30 times to perfect ammo (I always ended up with around 80 CG and 50 SG near the end of the first section)

As the mapper you know where all the monsters are so even a stronger player will have a harder time than you at your own map. Keep that in mind.

True... (it is meant to be difficult though, I usually ended up having Waaaaay too much ammo) how far have you gotten? have you gotten to the first red room? have you gotten to the garden area? have you gotten to the second quad?

And, because it's my first map, it's a little too dificult... If you haven't guessed yet, I like placing monsters around bind corners...

My next SP map (with a spacey theme) will be better... (thanks in part to spentron)

Finally found some spare quality time and played it. Enjoyable. Some not very detailed but I liked the arches in the middle of rooms and really liked the place with steps going up inside what apparently is a tower, but due to use of skybox windows there's no ground, actually got a tinge of vertigo for a moment. The place near the end where a bit of skybox can block your view of a trigger was jarring, however.

I enjoyed the good challenge but that's me... did take a lot longer than the 10 minutes you mentioned though. Only place I much ran out of ammo was at the halfway, good spot for it. Got a bit into trouble at the room which opens doors in 4 directions, low health, rather hard unless you play it cheap. The map wasn't very hard seeming at the beginning, got a little false security and probably should have saved some resources. It is normally considered good for a level to build up as it goes, but with user levels there's no basis other than the beginning to estimate the difficulty and set an appropriate pace, so in one sense it's good to let the player know what he's in for, but then I slacked some later too when it said "now it gets harder" and didn't .. immediately ;). I might would have put in a few more boxes of shells, if you're going to have extra ammo, make it low-level ammo. I use shotgun a lot when I play anyway, may have lost a few chaingun rounds due to the carry limit.

Ahh, I've been away from my computer for a while...

yeah, the second part was meant to be harder, perhaps I should have put another health there... did you find the extra ammo 'n stuff around on the ledges? I also found you SP map "Camera" to be quite a challenge too, but it was fun! anyhoo, thx for the constructive criticism!

BTW: have you beaten it yet?

OH YEAH...

And I also have a new MP map out too... Oil storage (enig6). It uses a couple of bridges and a custom water texture... I'd like some opinions on it if someone has played it yet...

I didn´t really like enig6, a little bland all in all. The oil could have some oilish structure... wouldn´t be easy though...
I still find your enig5 map is your best piece so far, I´d love to see it polished. :D

Hmmm I´m not a big fan of sp, so I haven´t tried em out...

Hmmm, I still think that enig6 has the best layout, but I am going to add some interesting architecure to it (it's kindof a pre-release, I'm testing the layout mostly, and I'm going to add details later...) I think that it is also too "flat," there aren't enough ledges and stuff. I'll end up doing a good mp map... (I'm beginning to rework enig5 now)

Well I've been reworking on a couple of my maps (enig1 and 5), I'll be able to re-release them in a few days...
